can a Triumph t140 be changed to right hand gear change

Yes. Just need a right-shift gearbox cover and a couple of plugs (3, actually). I did it to the prototype New Commando in my avatar

Yes it’s quite doable.

On top of the above mentioned parts you’ll need the quadrant assembly with RH change spindle and possibly the inner gearbox cover as well (or re bush the cross over shaft bush as a minimum).

All of the above is off the shelf stock Triumph stuff.

The brake set up however will need to be modified / fabricated. I assume you have a disc rear brake? Triumph only fitted these to LH shift bikes AFAIK.

Thanx for adding that, it's only been 18 years or so...

thanks for that, I am putting it in an A10 frame and looking today I will probably swap the brake over as I have the hollow subframe spindle. nice learning curve though.

Thanks for your input, you helped me out 10 years ago on my first ever build, it was a mk3 Rickman with a T140 in it. I am going to leave this engine as is now and swap the brake over, its going in an A10 frame and after looking today I have the hollow spindle for swing n arm so will be easier to re fabricate the brake pedal. cheers N
