camplate and quadrant bushes

Finished stripping the gearbox and noticed that the camplate and quadrant bushes extend into the case by 1/8 of an inch. Is this distance normal? I imagine if the bushes were in further then the camplate might rub against the wall of the case and the selector pins not engage fully in the camplate slots.

is correct that the bushes are both equal extended into the case.
It needs to permit to camplate/quadrant dont touch against the case, and out to live a space to install the orings flat the shell case.
