Can someone tell me by looking at the pics if the cam chain tension is ok, Looking at the adjuster which affects the bottom run of the chain i can not see how adjusting it would make the top tighter. I have not touched it apart from taking the case off and bike is running fine . At rest the top run of chain touches the top nutsecuring the tensioner( i can see it has worn it a little.) and as you can see when lifted it just touches the inside of the case, which leads me to believe it may need adjusting if thats an option or else replacing, if i was to adjust it do i run the risk of upsetting the timing

Adjusting the "foot" on the bottom turns the cam just a bit as it tightens, resulting in the top run also tightening. You might want to check your timing with a strobe afterwards, it could need a degree or two of adjustment.

Thanks Grandpaul, ive adjusted the chain, suprised that the foot adjustment has such an impact but it does, will check the timing when i get it back together to make sure it hasnt trown it out
