A andychain Joined Jul 1, 2013 Messages 464 Feb 22, 2015 #4 I am not aware of the method of tensioning but if it is manual then I would check every couple of thousand and if automatic every 20 or 30000. Chains do wear and in race engines the big pin simplex appears to work and not elongate and throw the timing out. One urban myth is regarding rpm......low revs are bad for chain and high revs good.
