I had already done this in the mill but decided to see if I could get it one better with a mandrel fixture so removed those bushes and did it again.
This was a 7/8" reamer which worked well when used restrained and the drive was a turned fixture that took a 21 mm tube to turn the reamer.
They must have downward pressure and smooth rotation along with good cutting fluid.
I put some pictures on FarceBook but in all am happy with the result but have to wonder if the D/S scroll will have enough oil movement to fill the end cavity and push the cam to the T/S.
I had enlarged the feed holes and oil was being pulled in nicely even at hand turned speed.
The devil is in the detail.
