Hi all,
I'm interested in doing another calendar this year, third year running. If you've got some tasty Norton pics that you think are worth consideration, then let me know. I'll repeat last year's format of double page landscape this year, so am after a full-page A4 landscape shot and something around A6 for an inset shot. Not the same pic for main and inset of course, but something related. Bikes are everything, but something with human interest, preferably yourself, wouldn't go astray. If you've got an old and new shot or before and after to make a now-and-then pair then great. (There was a great shot of a Norton outside of Chipping Norton that I swore I'd grab, but danged if I can find it again!)
Picture details:
A4 at 300dpi is about 2.5 x 2.25 megapixels. JPG format please, don't overdo the compression! My contact is bmavad (my forum username backwards) at gmail dot com or if you've posted them up here already just send me (or PM me) the link or post it below. You must own the copyright to the pics and agree to them being used for this purpose. I do not on-sell the pictures or make a profit from this in any way nor do I use use them for any other purpose other than the calendar. Preference to active users and pics from this year.
Have a look at the 2010 calendar download link and this is the 2011 calendar download link if you're unsure what I'm on about.
Best wishes for the season everyone. Stay alert and ride well.
Edit: All done. Click this link to download the calendar.
Print it off double-sided in landscape format on a colour printer using quality paper, staple along the top edge and punch a hole in the middle of the bottom and voila! Your very own calendar showing the greatest motorcycle ever made. You will also find at the back some dates of interest for those keen on bike racing.
If you have a single-sided printer, you can run this off in two passes, printing every second page each time.
I'm trying something a little different this year with "The Road Rode". I wrote it for the TWF guys in some haste on New Years Eve and didn't have time to polish it, but seeing as I borrowed a couple of lines from Hobot (November) I thought I kind of "owed" it here as well. Thanks Steve. Really wasn't sure about whether it was appropriate for the calendar, but it sorta summed-up the year's riding for me, so I thought - sod it.
