Have you looked at Burtons British Bikes has lots of seats and at good prices as well and very good to deal with as well fast delivery any where in the world.

Alan, have a look at Brit Cycle and Walrige Motors up here in Canada , you get benefit of favourable $ exchange rate and I think pretty good selection .....

Yes, the Corbin seats are not cheap. But to a certain extent “you get what you pay for”.

Some cafe seats look awful, and offer precious little comfort or control.

My ass is a very good fit to the Corbin so I find it comfortable. It also supports the rider very well, giving you better control, and to my eye, the styling is bang on.

A poor seat, no matter how cheap, is real false economy.

I’m not saying Corbin is the only choice, just that I wouldn’t totally rule them out just because they are a little more expensive than some others.

I love not only the look of my Corbin but also the overall comfort. I did a close to 700 mile day on it a few years back and it was tolerable. Yes, it can be expensive, but darn it, I'm worth it. I have seen them on the resale market in the $250-300 range. Most Norton owners are a generous group so maybe if someone in your Norton group has a desirable seat they'd let you try it out. I've lent my Corbin out twice now and both of them stepped up and bought Corbin. One new and the other from Ebay. Your dollars and your ass of course. I'd stick with a known product as $300 for something that doesn't work out is a waste.
 
Alan , I got to agree with ES above , I have Corbin seats on the Commando and the Griso , Duc has a DP comfort seat .... kinda important part of bike and your body , use what you have for a while and get a good saddle ...

Alan if you know someone with a Corbin on Commando , you should ask to try sitting on bike ... both the Corbin’s I have do cause me to splay my short legs more than normal while up close to tank .... it took a while to adjust , still both are very comfortable saddles , once you are broken into them ....

well...this bike seems to be like having an Italian fashion model for a girlfriend....my BSA A65 and Triumph T120 are like nice looking girls next door the commando says "you need to spend more monee on mee even eef you do not have eet"
 
Only way I can sit on a Corbin for more than 10 minutes is with a gel or foam pad. WAY too hard.

-but they are the second best looking Commando seat.

Best looking is the VR880 leather (my avatar). Perfect padding for me.
 
Corbin’s are definitely form over function. I’ve had Corbin’s Gunslinger for my Commando and a Corbin on my BMW K 75. The Gunslinger was tolerable, but the Corbin for the K75 was horrible. I switched to Russell Day Long. They build seats with function over form.
 
The Corbin on the Griso is very , very comfortable , it also gave me almost another inch of leg room between seat and foot pegs .... once you get used to a Corbin saddle everything else feels like you got a soggy bottom ....:)

Corbin comfort varies drastically from bike make to bike make . Corbin’s are designed to follow the design (flow) of the bike with little regard for the ass sitting on it.

I’d venture to say if you were to try a Russell Day Long you’d change your tune.

it is true I don't have much meat left on me , but the Russel seats visually don't appeal to me , once I shrink a little more in that dept. , you may very well be correct , for now I'm still comfortable ....

As I said, Russell builds seats with function in mind. I agree, Corbin’s are more appealing to the eye, but not so with the butt.
