i hate to brag ( oh no you don't ! ) but i was interviewed by discovery at the norton factory sitting on my 961
and the man said i would be on one of the programs ( he also said that if i slept with him i could be a movie star , hollywood and everthing , but thats another story ............... )
so you all can see what a ugly bastard i am ............................
as for the 961 it has had a few teething troubles and they are nearly all sorted ...............

Where the hell did all that Jap Crap come from?
Should of kept going with that Sledgehammer!

According to Mike and his producer, the interview they did of me in the pits at Willow Springs in may, is supposed to be in one of the first episodes.

The '74 Norton 850 alloy tanked monoshocker was shot, as was my '69 Bonneville vintage roadracer.

We shall see...

That will be fun to see Grandpaul. I had planned to be at Willow that weekend but couldn't go. This will sort of make up for it. I've had a subscription to there magazine from early on (still missing a few back issues I ordered though) I was excited about it at first but not so much anymore. Part of it is just due to my own lack of interest in seeing a bunch of Hondas, Yamahas and the like all badly dressed up to look like vintage British stuff. I still wouldn't be interested in them but if they just didn't try to pose as something they are not I could appriciate the owners efforts. I know they need to appeal to "that crowd" to sell mmagazines and I get the feeling that's where they come from too. Just like any art form or hobby, without young blood coming in the whole thing would die. I'm glad it's working out for them & hope it keeps going. After all, any thing that gets a Norton racer in print and on T.V. Is a good thing.
