Classic Bike Guide has featured the Commando, including historic pix of the final production/assembly of the last 850 Mk 3s at the Wolverhampton works.
Rows of Commmandos awaiting final body panels, a batch of Interplods & etc.
The Editor jumps on a Mk 3 & likes it, "Its one thing riding a classic on quiet country lanes, its another thing altogether, looking back from your `50s 500 twin to find you`re at the front of a long queue of traffic wanting to do more than 55mph. But a good Commando can keep up with & go faster than most modern traffic & that makes it so much more fun to ride."
