pretty sure this is original to my 74 Mk2. hitting a search dead end. i would like to replace with the same. (lucas) female bullet connector - junction block. not sure what to call it - 5x2 (???) source, part number? found 5x1, but no 5x2. i can do work-arounds, but trying to keep the number of junction blocks down to a minimum. TIA....

(everyone) thanks for the replies. from the above link, I found one on fleabay right here in florida. I can live with the pricing, but they want $10 shipping which IMO, is pretty much a ripoff. sometimes, you just get to the point where you throw out the "BS" flag. add in the shipping, and all of a sudden, it becomes cost prohibitive. I know, it's only 30-bucks, but sometimes you just have to draw a line in the sand. looks like i'll go with the five-doubles and noted. not too many prying eyes can see up under the gas tank anyway. ;) again, thanks.

Joe, you’d (quite rightly) be the first to complain if you bought it and it arrived damaged due to poor packing.

Couple $ for Jiffy bag etc..

Couple $ time and materials to wrap, pack, print label...

Couple $ time and gas to get to post office...

Couple $ for postage...

Maybe $10 is too much, but I’d hardly call it a ‘rip off’ IMHO. And if it’s what you need to do the job right, maybe best to swallow the couple $ extra ??

I totally understand what you're saying, but as I said, sometimes you just have to draw a line in the sand. I just bought a pack of 10 doubles for less than $12 with free shipping. I can do a work-around here - so it's 6 bucks vs 30 bucks. I'm retired, on a fixed income, and getting really cheap in my old age - :D

BTW, one side note. I recently purchased a couple hundred dollars worth of odds and ends from Old Brits. they charged me less than $13 to ship that package across the U.S. (around 2500 miles). that vs $10 to ship one small item 100 miles. on top of that, since it's an in-state, florida transaction, the seller would charge me an additional 6.5% sales tax, so add in another $1.30. now it's beginning to be cost prohibitive. just saying....

Joe, now take money you saved on the 10-way, and replace EVERY female connector.

It’s not much time, nor much money.

it's all history - all wiring, pins, connectors, etc, all brand new. any and all wiring issues were put to bed long ago. one thing I did on all lucas bullet connectors was to use a light coating of a conductive contact grease on all pin/socket connections. hopefully, that will ward off any and all (future) corrosion issues.

They will help against corrosion and water ingress but not help the connectors inner metal wrapped plate from breaking in half, so carry a few spares of doubles which seem the most prone.
