I've had my Combat for 18 months and am slowly changing things that either are not right or I don't like.
I like my old British bikes to have the uncluttered no indicator/turn signal look.....however I live in a city and only a couple of hand signals are understood by car drivers....
The PO had fitted some Japanese indicators to get it road legal and they have annoyed me since day one...

I liked the idea of smaller indicators and even more the bright LED ones I had seen around the place.
A search took me to a write up by Swooshdave so the search began for cheap bits.
Got a set of 'E' marked 15 LED units locally for $60 ( US $48) and picked up 3 LED flasher units on Ebay OZ for $12 each.
I made a rear holder out of a 20mm x 20mm old chair leg and welded some ends, mounting tabs and drilled holes for the wiring.
The front ones I just used the holes that PO had drilled in the headlight ears....
The wiring was a bit of headache as the LED's are neg earth. No matter I just ran a negative from the headlight unit live to the blacks of the LEDs.
Took me a few hours of playing around with the numberplate bracket and wiring and all done.
I want them looking low key but functional.
Thanks Swooshdave :D for your post, wiring diagram and pics, just need to get the diodes and resistor and sort out the idiot light.....may as well led the three of them while I'm at it....
anyone done the instrument lights?
