BSA SCRAMBLER

Two purposes. Heat protection and supposedly to improve gas evacuation. Ceramic coating is a better alternative so it's purely aesthetics. Personally, i'd like it better with Titanium hi-risers
Trickle down from industrial use.
I was using it 43 years ago when mounting burners fed with 5" gas pipe, into thermal oxidizers.

Kinda Tom. Actually, if you were really serious about this temp thing, you’d do both. In fact you‘d do 3 things: ceramic coat the inside, ceramic coat the outside, and wrap.

But yeah, I’d also sooner see multi coloured Titanium pipes personally !

I

Used to have those classic flared jeans in the 80s and no front chain guard on my Honda 250 it would munch up the flares , I pulled up at the lights one day and went to put my left foot down and fell over 😀 .
I can remember my flares freezing solid in the winter
Must have looked a right twat when I got off the bike
Like a couple brookland cans hanging off my jeans

Yeah, i'm used to heat. EGTs on my car get up to 1600F

For this bike, purely aesthetics

I use a MGL avionics gauge ,relatively cheap , you can plug your K-type sensors straight in and most digital ones let you select how many sensors to read at the same time, less gets you a bigger font .

Works on 4 strokes too , if the unburned gas ignites in the pipes , like afterburners , it augments the thrust . And enhances the gas pulse extraction & ram chargeing effect .

Scrambler , O Rielly .

Some people think a Desrt Racer is a Street Bike .

If you put the megaphones over the stuff at the back there , it tidies it all up . ;)
