My good friend and great rider heading out on Pit Road to ride the Rocket 3, this bike was very reliable and very fast and with YD on board, he could make it howl like a banshee and fly like a rocket. Once during an AHRMA Special showcase race featuring all the top bikes of the week, he got a meatball flag for his fast start and had to do a black flag penalty stop and go in the pits. He came flying down pit rode, stopped on a dime and blasted off, he did finally catch the leader Todd Henning and just passed his Yamaha TR 350 at warp speed for the win, The sound of a triple on the banking is incredible and YD on it was unstoppable .

He was a fast man

YD, Launching a Rocket 3. Severely concussed and the BSA broken up big time. I'll look for other photos of the crash, It was Unbelievable and this is not AI. 2002 Daytona turn 1, 1st lap F750 race. If you know YD , he was trying to land it and keep on trucking! Three months later he raced my CHR Commando and won two races.
