Chaps,

I was perusing google and britcycle are showing a part I’m looking for.

Trouble is, I’m blocked from their web site by ‘world fence’ !?

Does anyone know anything about worldfence and why I might be blocked?

Are Britcycle still trading?

Are they good guys?

Does anyone have any contact info they could share?

You mean Wordfence? It's a cyber security system. Got any malware on your PC?

Yes, sorry, I meant wordfence.

The web page worked for me for a few minutes as I browsed around then I got wordfenced.

Tried 3 different devices and got the same thing!

Once I get wordfenced I cannot re access the site.

Probably locks your IP address out. If your devices are on the same wi-fi or modem they would appear as the same address.

If you have a DHCP router, power cycle it and you may change IP address. Then if it connects for a while and blocks again, you have some malware as maylar suggested.

Is it Windows or MAC machine(s) ?

Cheers,

cliffa.

Two I pads and an I phone Cliffa.

And I don’t understand the rest of what you said...!

Just turn off whatever you have in your house that provides your Internet connection and turn it back on. Then try again. If it still fails, seek help from your Internet provider.

It's unusual for Apple devices to have any malware. Do you have the latest IOS version (updates) on them?

To explain DHCP or "Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol" is easiest in telephony terms. Think of an IP address as a phone number:

You connect to the internet via your router, but you only ever make outgoing calls so you in reality don't actually need a phone number as you wont receive any incoming calls. Your ISP ( BT, Virgin etc.) can then automatically (Dynamically) assign IP addresses on demand and need a smaller pool, rather than assigning a phone number or in this case a "Fixed IP address" to every customer. So It's a lot less admin for them, and you don't know any different, as you still get the service you wanted. There is normally a Lease time ( rental period ) for each ip address, so you may notice it change from time to time. To find out your current IP address Google "what is my IP" (don't post it on here though).

Hope that helps,

cliffa.

Haha, I had connected to https://www.britcycle.com.au/ from my IPad successfully a while ago and just went back to that tab and got the same error as you F.E.

Maybe send them a mail ?

Interested to know what they have that you want ( okay nosey ) . Are you going to create a Triumph TRW track day bike ?

Cheers,

cliffa.

Thanks for the above chaps. I’m now in email coms with Luke at Britcycle au.

Can turn more to the second part of my question... are Britcycle one of the ‘good guys’? I haven’t bought from them before and this won’t be a cheap order.

Surely some of our Southern Hemisphere members can give me a heads up here?

Cliffa, I’ll tell you what it is when I’ve bought it !

Interesting. I just checked out their site from New Zealand and it threw me off as well.

I’m using a work address which has super high end security and I’m certain there will be no malware on here. Security updates were also run today.

So they may have a particularly fussy system their end. I don’t know anything about the company sorry.

Both websites work fine for me and I have bought bits off the Australia site, they are maybe an hour ride south of me.

The last thing was the NOS Wipac switch, just as described and as per the photo's.

Just remember that site has a lot of parts that cover a wide range.
If in doubt ask, there are quite a few items that have inaccurate identification ie Norton 750 & 850.

Buying a cheap 850 part only to receive a 750 part etc would not be a good way to start the day and return would be unlikely.

If you are shopping Downunder.... Don't forget Mikes Classics which is where a good deal of 'the Sandy Bandits parts stash went..(iirc)
They even had a NOS 1974 TR5T muffler, a NOS Krizman spark arrestor so who knows what else is tucked away.

Web site seems fine now, managed to progress the order so all sorted now.

Must be one of the last NOS T140 Gilardoni Nickasil lined alloy barrel kits around (sorry for the none Commando content)...

britcycle.com.au... any good?

FE - I have one of those kits as well sitting here,do you know about using the different head studs in stainless steel with a course thread into the barrel,I was also told about different push rod tubes as well.Brett
