Brake Drum Hub

Hopefully this picture will work - first time using photobucket

Does one just pound on the dummy axle (with the axle nut threaded on) to knock the bearing out the other side?

I've been hammering it pretty hard and I'm worried I might end up breaking something...

Thanks!

Did you remove the circlip on the other side of the brake drum? It is under the dished felt retainer, the felt, and the washer.

Thanks Ron.
I can't see a circlip in my drawings, but that must be it.
I'm going to give that a whirl right now!

When you do get it out can you post a pic of the parts in the order they came out?

Here's how I think they are suppose to be. Can you confirm?

I'm having problem with chain rubbing chain guard.
In looking at the picture of the brake drum it looks like there is a washer on the axel.
I don't see a washer in my parts book, but the lack of one could explain my chain rubbing problem.
Is there a washer?

Thanks
Bob
