While doing brake service .... my outboard piston was stuck .... before looking at the maintenance bible I just tapped it out with some copper tube .... I see the book say if piston seized then you should throw away caliper body and get a new one .... i was in process of installing new seals , SS pistons and cap ... helpful comments please ...

The sealing points are between the caliper groove and seal, then the seal to the piston. As long as the groove isn't pitted, your caliper should be okay. Assuming you're replacing pistons and seals, just make sure the pistons move freely in the caliper bores.

As the Good Man said above^^!

Yup .... no pitting I can feel with finger ... I was going to go ahead and try the new seals and pistons and see anyway .... seals are not too costly and I spent hours getting the bores clean , thanks

Not quite, the seal groove will be perfect, look for a wear groove where the metal backs of the pads hit against the bores, if it is too deep the pad will sit in the this groove and not move forward or retract correctly.

Not botched in the slightest.
Why the manual regards the calliper as non-repairable defies logic, but it was early days.

Inboard piston can be challenging, but I've had success with drilling and tapping the piston and drawing it out with a long bolt. The pistons are best replaced anyway - I've also gone with stainless replacements with no issues.

I had let the outboard piston soak over night in P oil .... then used copper tube and mallet to tap it out .... not much resistance ( both pistons were corroded along the edges last 1/8" or so ).... I have the new seals but am waiting on the SS pistons .... before I tackled this ( new wheels ,bearings , axles etc. ) the brake was working fine , or so I thought , any way time will tell .... I think it will be first of the week now before Canada Post gets here .... oh well , lots of other small stuff to attend to ... and some snow maybe in the morning here
