Braided Stainless Oil Feed lines?

Are kits for braided ss feed lines (still) available? Not the rocker feed line(s), but the main feed lines from the tank? I recall sometime ago that Steve Maney offered a junction block suitable for Aeroquip lines/fittings, but it is no longer offered (by him).

In the same vein are these lines compatible with or adaptable to the stock, right side mounted, oil tank?

Nothing over the counter. You'd need to braze on AN6 flared male fittings to your oil tank and junction block pipes.
I would not use braided SS hose without a shrink tube cover for some anti chafe protection.

It's on my project list because I think that is the only way to eliminate oil leaks from these areas.

The block is still available, I think the rest is up to you...

I use some type of similar hose close to original , no leaks at all from block or joint , just blind luck , maybe

These hoses are Kevlar braided. I decided against the SS braided because as mentioned earlier there too many abrasion issues introduced.

I built my own hoses to suit the specific lengths required. You can also get a compression adapter fit over the oil tank tube to connect to AN as an alternative to braising on a fitting.

AN fittings, if properly assembled and installed will not leak. The low pressure rating of the required hose makes cost comparable to standard hose and clamp style.

What’s going on with the breather line. Looks like it goes back then comes forward into the tank. Does it just loop?

Breather line runs through a PCV valve which I mounted behind the Z plate...




Back to the tank.....



And then a vent was attached to the tank exhaust outlet...



This routing with the PCV valve has worked very well for venting the crankcase.
There are zero oil passing/blow by/leak through issues.

The first photos above shows reusable style fittings which can add up.
Alternatively, you can find any local industrial hose shop to make you 2 crimped hoses.
Ask them their options for low pressure anti-chaffe hose (fabric cover hose), or to use a Raychem sleeve on a braided SS hose.

I had a decent collection of fittings on hand from some of my other engine builds.
This is a 1968 Ford 427 Side Oiler' You can see just some of the AN fittings and hose used and that's just the fuel system.






Many of the automobile racing companies/teams will discard their AN circulation components after one race before they rebuild the entire engine.

A lot of the "raced once" equipment, including the already assembled hoses with fitting and parts ends up on the resale block or Ebay. They even give you fitting and hose size along with entire component length.
The selection is huge and you may very well find the length/hose/fitting size you need.

You just have to do some digging. The entire hardware costs for the Norton setup ended up costing me about 50 bucks.
