I have used two of the Pazon ignitions on my 1974 Commando. Both have had power cutout issues. So I bought the Boyer Bransden Mark 4 ignition. For installation on the '74 Commando 850. I am having a problem with finding the exact simple wiring diagram for my bike. The box indicates that the Norton motorcycle is compatible.
Maybe my brain has a short circuit. So, I am seeing white wire to ground, black to -coil and red to black across, then positive coil to ignition. Correct? So simple, yet I want to get it right first time. Thanks guys. (and gals).

Assuming your bike is still positive earth/ground then white is negative so does not connect to ground but to white/yellow from the kill button or white/blue that connects to white/yellow or white if you bypass the kill button. Red is ground.
Wiring diagram here which should have been supplied with the ignition. For some reason the Boyer diagrams don't show a kill switch.

If its been wired negative ground then yes white is earth/ground.
Use the diagram below for negative ground only, note that the harness wire colours could still be for positive ground so you would connect red to white/yellow or white/blue or harness white.
