Hi All,

I would proceed to mount with the electronic ignition Boyer Brandsen also the Power Box of BB.
The original electrical system has a positive ground with stock Alternator, Rectifer, Zener Diod and a Capacitor.
The BB Power Box has 4 wires leaving, the red should go to the ground, black to the white wire and the two yellow wires to the alternator (is the same if each one goes to GY or to WG??)
But the question is, should I remove the Rectifer, Zener Diod and Capacitor?.

Thank you.

Piero

yes, the red wire goes to ground, somewhere on the frame

good choices by the way, I have had a Boyer Power Box for 10 years and it still works perfectly

Hi,
and thank you.
Is better I have to connect the red wire of the Power Box to ground or one of the red wires coming from the battery?
In any case, do you suggest to mount the BB tPower Box (along with BB electronic injection) or leaving the original Zener Diod, Capacior and Rectifer?.
Last question: there are controindications between PowerBox and Warning Light Assimilator?
Ciao.
Piero

I ran the red ground wire over to the inside top of the right shock bolt, taking the black paint off, just enough

I have my Power Box mounted by velcro to the back of the battery box on the black end plate

along with a little duc tape just to remind the velcro that it can be replaced

Hi to all,
I have some Boyer black box question. Anybody knows what is the difference between MKIII Boyer black box for Commando and for Triumph/BSA? Is there diffenrence in advance? Or another difference? Thank You

THIS HAS BEEN COVERED MANY TIMES, Always run earths from the battery to every device. Never treat the frame as a conductor. Never scrape paint off a frame just to make an earth circuit. Simple.
BTW, the engine is a device, so is the ignition system.

Ugh I do as well as many past vintage racers, one size fits all Boyah analog black box curve has so so advance to suit the slow burn detonation prone Triumphs so dulls the power response so racers like Jim Schmid learned to short the trigger wires with a resister value to get the adv curve steeper so Norton would SNORT better.
