Dear All,
I'm absolutely gutted to report that my pride and joy 2017 Sport was stolen over the weekend from my warehouse in High Wycombe , together with lots of other things.
It's a black and gold, single seater, RWU forks, pre ABS model.
I haven;t got the cahssis number yet, as they found all my paperwork, spare keys, logbook etc, but I'll be able to get that from DVLA/Police soon.
She had short pipes, carbon rear hugger, black spoked wheel option and a single right hand side bar end mirror.
Pretty much immaculate condition, bar a fairly large stone chip on the oil cooler.
Reg no N17 RTN, although I'm sure that will have gone by now.
These bikes are really rare, as you know, so won't be easy to sell it, but if anyone is offered parts from iffy sources, please contact me on 07534 973423 (Richard).
Thanks.

Very sorry to hear this Richard. I will certainly keep my eyes open. Are you also on the Facebook group ?

Thanks.
No sorry I can't get to grips with Facebook.
Could you pass on the details on my behalf. thansk.

Thanks Voodoo, you're absolutely right.
I loved that bloody thing and although I'll get paid out hopefully, it's not about the money.
I had her from new, exact spec that I wanted, some great rides and she was no trouble at all. Definately a keeper, but alas no more......
Don't know what to do now and but I'm definately going to get another.....sometime, somewhere.

Shit
I'm really sorry to hear this mate
Maybe it's still in one piece somewhere hopefully

Really sorry to hear of this, but will keep an eye on facebook and ebay for parts. It's a stupid choice of bike to steal as they are so rare......but I guess if you paid nothing for it, anything is worth stealing...

Maybe the thieves made a mistake on this one?
After all I'd assume they'd break it up and sell for parts?
Trouble is there's not that many to start with
Even less being broken

Hopefully a dose of Karma is on its way for the thief...knee cap the bastards !!

Strapping their testacles to a 961 right hand downpipe whilst ticking over should do it.

Anyway, I have posted on the following FB pages. Norton 961, Classic Commando, Norton Rotary enthusiasts, Can-Am, Armstrong MT. Also on the Morini Riders club. If there are any N.O.C. members on here please do the same.

Hopefully something will come of it.

Sucks - I hope they catch the bastards and find your bike in one piece. If it’s anything like our side of the pond they will likely get off with a scolding then set free to do it again..

Thanks all for your comments, much appreciated.
I'm going through all the insurance bumph at the moment, but hopefully they'll pay out a reasonable amount and soon.
I've also found the paperwork for it, so watch out for frame no .....00941 and engine no 501-1266.
They also took three of my work vans, a load of stock and a Ducati 916 from my showroom......b%$%$ds....
But on the positive side, I'll be in the market soon for a replacement.
Thanks again all, it's really nice to be part of this community.
Take care.

That is a major theft with all that gear; terrible to have this happen - I have always thought that the lack of second-hand part demand would deter thieves. Didn't stop an eastern European Gentleman with a white van testing the weight of it in a carpark a while back though......

I had a tracker fitted at the factory - highly recommended. Once the insurance is sorted maybe could be an opportunity to get one of the new factory 'sorted' 961s with support and servicing?

Sadly vehicle crime is virtually not considered an offence over here anymore
The police seem to be very pre occupied with policing social media for hurt feelings

Waited my entire biking life to own a Ducati (998, when they first came out) - some bastard stole it in the first 6 months of ownership. I’m feelin your pain RVR - good luck.

Had a bike bought from a local dealer stolen years ago - turned out they were selling them then stealing them back...

I once heard of a motorcycle shop selling the names and addresses of people that had just bought brand new bikes
Never knew if it was true or not

I hate leaving any of my bikes out of my sight even in quiet villages. Shiny bauble attracts the rodents. Much to be said for an oily rag rider.

Whenever I hear of someone having their new car stolen from their drive I wonder not if, but how much of this goes on. Much as I support the Police I do believe that crimes which would have been investigated years before are just not looked at. We are effectively replacing the Police with insurance policies.

And just remember that you very well may have a policy that states that a vehicle theft within a mile or so of the home address is not covered if it recorded as garaged overnight so keep it locked when washing it on the drive and put it immediately away after a ride.....
