Anyone know if Stuart Garner has an interest in Bike Bandit?:

The online parts seller declared bankruptcy in February, but the website stayed up, leading thousands of people paying for parts they never received.

In the US there are laws that prevent losing money like this, but you must know and understand them and file a complaint in a timely manner. If people had done that, credit card purchases would have been stopped. Here's a simple overview: https://www.creditcards.com/credit-management/chargeback-rules-undelivered-purchases/

It's actually easier than the article says - call the credit card company and dispute the charge as soon as it's apparent that the item is not going to arrive. When I buy, if you don't give me tracking and the item is more than two days later than promised/expected, I report it to the credit card company - the credit card company cannot collect the money from you with an outstanding dispute so they will try to clear it up. BTW, in this regard, PayPal is a credit card company.
