Bike Shed Review 961

SO... Let me get this right... as per the Garner 961's, Norton are now doing a full spec one ( upside down ohlins, stripes on paintwork?, bigger brembo's) for 'around' 19K and a cheaper (sport?) version with right way up forks, plain paintwork?, and cheaper brakes for 'around' 17K..? There's a pic of cheaper one ( i think ) on the 961 facebook page. There's nothing on the Norton Motorcycles website though.... Anyone know owt ?

From what I can gather from the website, both variants (CR/Sport) come in the base configuration - no pinstripes, no stitched logo on seat pad, raw silver finish on engine, standard polish to engine cases, carbon front mudguard etc. Both have the same USD Ohlins and Brembo brakes.

If you want the pinstripe, seat logo, highly polished engine casing, full carbon components, blacked out engine parts etc you’ll be paying for it.

what threw me was the pic on the facebook page.... but the owner says its a 2014 model that he had painted to his own preference... (tried to post the pic but no idea how to do it with this new set up...looks just like the new base silver 961 paintwise) ... so if you require the options listed above, you're talking 20K , plus i would prefer black yokes, clock surround, footrests/plates ...gulp  pushing the price boundaries i think...
