Re: Big twins...comparison old en new commando and all that.

I picked up that magazine (in the 'Delhaize' of all places) and leafed through it. It's pretty rare that I don't buy a magazine with a Commando in it but it was total cobblers. Apparently the chap owns an old and a new...Somewhere in the article it said that the old Commando didn't carburate cleanly "but they never did" or words to that effect. Journalism of the highest order. Better off with the titty mag.

Same as my friend did, said it wasn't worth the 5,50 euro

I cannot believe that is a picture of my first car. 1965 Saab 96 850 Monte Carlo. Man did I have fun with that.

I'd rather have recognized a couple things from the top row. But hey, that's still pretty cool.

Re: Big twins...comparison old en new commando and all that.

I've always been fond of big parallel twins.

+1... and when I think back at all the trouble they've got me in, well, damn, it was a blast! :p

Re: Big twins...comparison old en new commando and all that.

OK I'm going off the Norton track for a moment. Is the Saab still a 3cyl 2 stroke or a Ford based v4? The Saab got my attention b4 the chick with the store bought boltons. Ah, the good ol' days. Vehicles that polluted and girls who grew their own!

I've traveled a bit to know both Oregon and Miami Fla dacer's don't always wear bottoms so get a view of their cleavage then share a drink with it on on your knee.... Still sweet as it can be I'd rather be riding my Commando heavy twin.

I reckon it was probably TopGear!

That's a pretty compact little V6 Matt, but when it comes to compact Vs, Lancia did it better

Mind you, many (perhaps all) others did it cheaper. Still, motorcycle engine designers could take note!

Re: Big twins...comparison old en new commando and all that.

Its the wee V-4 shown , usually two pipes . One Ea Side . Makes you wonder about a F'bed chassis for it .

Lanchia was V4s from the start , Though ' M'Cycle Designers . . .

The Matchless Silver Hawk monoblock V4 . was a bit pricey were led to believe .
