Purchased a left hand switch cluster from ebay from a dude calling himself thewelshcanadian it was described as very good , seems that he's idea of good was not to explain he had drilled out the philips head srew and damaged the body and threads as well as the mirror mount srew thread was over two thirds striped ,clutch lever worn badly so before leaving feedback I contacted the dude as thinking this was only fair and his response was it is better than most he had seen , he did offer to refund my purchse price but , not the postage which would have made it as much as the purchase to return . So I gave him negative feedback , then the hero resoponded with lovely french phrasing what a man , so please be aware as we all know Ebay can be good and it also can be very disapointing lesson learnt , Norton Dave .

Dave,
always always always contact ebay and file a claim. You'll be amazed what help ebay will be. even if they can't resolve things between you and the other party they will refund the seller out of their own pocket (i've been witness to this with a $1600 item)

The feedback can be retracted through the claim process if it goes well.

Is this the auction?

It's not what I would call good condition myself and being it's screwed together he should have known about the other 2 stripped screws (maybe why no screws were in there).

I liked ebay better when you had the really big photos. This flash file with the magnifier isn't ideal but you can see some good detail on his photos, just not enough photos. He should have pointed out any defects.

When you buy cameras on ebay most folks use a 0 - 10 rating system with 10 being brand new. 9 is close to new in every way but it was used. 8 has a few marks, a 5 is beat up but functioning properly and nothing wrong with the glass etc. By this rating the switch is a 5 at best imho but then this is mc parts.

Good luck with it.
