Bruno, was going to suggest that the title of the thread "Sad News...." was too sad for me in light of the very positive news recently coming out of Belgium. Really happy to hear everything with Yves appears to be on the mend and we now have a new title for the thread. We're all awaiting the next title change to "Even Better News....":)

You know..... I too have been thinking about how difficult it could be to have to stay in bed for so long. (Just getting over a round of the 24 hour flu that is past 48 hours now and counting)... I was able to take one day of sick leave which I spent in bed. Anyway can you "stream" movies to your TV from the internet with a service like netflicks or something, it might help.

Hello all,

Yves’s condition is now improving quite a bit, no pain, he is eating a bit more than last week and is beginning to regain some much needed strength.

He wishes to thank each and everyone of you for the positive energy that has been pouring in from all over the world in the last 3 weeks.

His morale is good considering his predicament, even if hospital time is seemingly longer than normal. We are already discussing about how to rebuild his bike and engine specs. As it is MotoGP weekend, he is ready for his qualification on the grid.

I like the positive approach to bike repair, Maybe take a look at better protective riding gearo_O or fancy airbag leathers  like this guy ;)

Great to see things are improving so quickly, and enjoying all the posts of Facebook - good work, Bruno :)

What we all want to know is what future modifications has Yves got planned for the Seeley?

Nice, il a l'air plutôt relax sur la photo. C'est en bonne voie. Courage Yves, ça ne sera bientôt plus qu'un souvenir.

Hello
The frame can take a lot before it would be bent. I have heard that during a race accident a SEELEY MK III flew through the air for at least 200m and hit the race course with the front wheel. The crank case was damaged from the front wheel, but the frame sprung back into its initial shape. In any case I'd get it checked by Roger Titchmarsh, the maker of the frame. Yves, if I can help you give me ring.
Best Regards
Klaus

Just reading about Yves’ get-off as I have been computerless for several months. Good to hear he is bouncing back and thinking about getting the bike going again.

Just thinking about how you're doing Yves, and was wondering if you happened to see the news report about Triumph having to back out of this year's Baja 1000. It seems that their factory rider busted up one of his ankles while practicing on his own personal 450. Triumph was going to enter their new 1200 scrambler, anyway along with the article they posted a copy of the x-ray image of this guy's leg showing the plate and all of the screws holding it together. Kind of made me think about your situation. How are you managing with your traction? Cj

I would like to extend all my thoughts to you for a good recovery. I know you are a tough old bird and your old bones will fuse again. When you are mended properly you will have some more fun putting your bike back right again, if not better than it was. Although ,it was way perfect before. Keep mending and be happy.

Thank you all for your thoughts. Yves is fighting back with great spirit as usual. Time is long, one month today since his accident. His leg must still remain in traction for about 3 weeks.
We have now moved his bike to a pro workshop where assessments and insurance experts visits will take place.
