better master cylinder for the MK3

Is the stopping power/feel of the current AN offering better than the OEM MC? If it's just a newly manufactured version using the OEM specs, there wouldn't be any "improvement" in feel/power over stock. I have no idea whether it's a duplicate of OEM or has different piston size/leverage, etc, just asking.

The CNW Brembo MC is superb but, unfortunately, the OEM switchgear adapter does not fit on the Mark III so that's not an option for the OP. :(

It's "13mm".
The standard master cylinder is 5/8" (15.875mm).

The current one had a kit installed to reduce the diameter with the usual problem of bleeding it. I have wrestled with 3 of these and the best solution to that problem is to bleed all the air possible then install a thin spacer plate, 1/16" will do, between the MC and the switch box to allow more travel of the lever. Now it is usable. It will take a long time perhaps months for the last air bubble to go away. Next, and very important, is to replace all the rubber hoses preferably with a braided line. This is not the thread to discuss this method as it's been done here many times. No matter what I have been unimpressed with the results. Perhaps the new offering from AN is a better unit, I do not want to spend the $$ and time to find out. I would like the Brembo conversion.

I’ve got the new 13mm m/c (Andover) fitted on my mk3 with an rgm floating disc and ap caliper. Brakes have a great feel and stops like a modern bike.

I spent £25 on ebay for a I/2" master cylinder from a Suzuki Burgman 125. Makes for a great brake and a decent mirror mount. Works fine with original switch gear.

FWIW, I installed the CNW Brembo MC, an SS braided hose and a set of Ferodo pads for the original Lockheed caliper. The bike has OEM-size wheels/tires (4.10 x 19 Avons) brakes are as smooth/powerful as the brakes on any of our relatively new bikes (2014 thru 2019).

Re sleeved master cylinders on the Norton - I have had TWO of them fail, the second failure occurred between stoplights. The brakes worked perfectly at one light and, a mile later for next light I pulled the brake lever and it went all the way to the handle bar - no front brake at all!
SO...as the saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me!" I can't imagine what they say for being fooled three times so NO sleeved MCs for me!

Sleeved to 13mm MC, 12" floating disc, AP clone caliper, new rubber hoses, and stops like a modern bike. There's plenty of information of how to bleed them and it can be a bear but worth the effort. I have no need for a spacer to give more lever travel.

I've tried pressure bleeding, vacuum bleeding and voodoo canting but the only method that workes reliably for me is to remove the cylinder and bleed it vertically. I believe Old Brits has a tutorial. Anyway, you can achieve a complete bleed and a solid feel and it's worth the effort.

13 mm AN in front, everything else stock.
1/2” LF Harris in rear, everything else stock.
Fredo Platinum pucks.
Improves braking enough to overpower tires. Seems to have better feel overall . Still limited by puck and rotor size, but I live in the flat lands so it works for me. Even down in Va. ripping around the mountains with my son I never had any brake fade. Guess I must ride like an old lady.

Pete, you must have one heck of a grip! I had the same setup with the chrome ground off and never could begin to overpower the tires! 12" disc and AP caliper and it actually stops.

My buddy Kenny used to call me GI Joe with Kung -Fu grip. But seriously that set up will stop a lot better than stock and feels more progressive.
Then I get on my sons ZX6RR an realize what real disc brakes feel like
