Best Tires for a 71 Commando 750

What are the best tires for a 71 Commando 750? I have heard good things about Avon, but I don't know what model is the best for my bike. Thanks
 
Ok, thanks guys. I just picked up some of the smaller front, and larger rear AM 26 Avon's off of a website for $83/ tire + no tax. Locally someone was asking $115 / tire + tax, so I think I did pretty good. Can't wait to give them a try.
 
$83 each is close to as low as you can possibly get them.

I hope you ordered new rim strips and inner tubes...
