Permatex Copper-Coat. It's a high-temp spray-on with powdered copper in the mix. Same application as silver spray paint (which contains aluminum powder)

Do you apply the sealant on both sides of the copper gasket???

Yes. Makes it a bit stubborn to get apart miles later, but only spraying one side leaves the other side to leak. Permatex makes lots of other usable stuff. Their gasket remover, while very caustic, makes quick work of old gasket material and sealants that would normally require scraping that could potentially dmamge the mating surfaces. Spray it on, let it bubble and the old munge wipes clean with a plastic body filler trowel. Nuetralize it with water and you have a clean, like-new surface.
