Bennetts interview with John Russell

difficult bit is finding out the shortcomings IN USE, unless you count corrosion from sitting in living rooms!!
Good point. There are already mentions of cracked frames on V4s. One of them could possibly have enough miles to evaluate engine robustness. And given how Norton were unable to properly resolve the fueling and electrical niggles on the 961, I do wonder how those V4s already out there will fair in this regard.

I do hope, and expect, TVS will eradicate most such stuff though.

I would have expected the parts that make up the electronic and control systems were shipped back to India and interrogated, analysed and rectified within days of the new owners taking charge. Remember the bike that wouldn't rev and lead to the owner dropping it exiting a bike meet.
Hopefully the frames that will be built up will be correctly welded this time. One of the essential parts in the engine that failed early was rectified, but the company that made the replacement has been taken over and now has foreign owners. TVS has the access to numerous companies within the group that should easily overcome the known problems, but the bike needs some serious miles put on it to shake it out.
I predict the 1200 engine will be short lived and replaced with a 1000cc lump.

You know on those nature programs where the entire herd of zebra are galloping away from the lion apart from one gormless one who is standing there looking confused and wondering what's going on?

Well I've only just found out that the new Norton address is in Solihull. That's my home town. In fact if I stood on my roof I could probably see the building in Solar Park. This is the weirdest dream I've had for ages - must have been that Stinking Bishop cheese for supper.

Just bookmarked their Vacancies page. Maybe I should set up a 'Priest's House' type B&B for visitors?

Sounds like a plan Clive! When’s the grand opening ??
I could offer a Norton/Morgan shuttle service for visitors!!! This is such a weird dream - Nigel I was really expecting you to send me a picture of your newly delivered Superlight with extended chrome exhausts.

Has anyone else noticed stuart garner is still active on instagram? I wonder if he’s secretly here as well. On instagram he’s not hiding.
