Has anyone come up with a bending tool to straighten handlebars? Ones that have a mild tweek but otherwise useable? I have a set of bars that I really like but are slightly out of whack on the left side. Finding another pair just like this will be like finding two identical snowflakes. I want to bend them while mounted on the bike but uncertain if the clamps are up to the job.

Slide a piece of pipe onto them . Easier clamped down to a bench and better to check measurements. You could make up a bendy bar tool with some flat over and under to a length of suitable RHS .

I have the same issue . Left side of handle bar ( aftermarket ) is ever so slightly bent inwards a very slight bit on my European bars .
Dare I just get a bit brutal with bars clamped tight into the upper yoke ? P.O. did this before me , no blame intended . May need to find hollow pipe .

If you know an electrician, you may be able to borrow his 3/4" conduit bender. 3/4 conduit OD may not be quite 7/8" but likely close enough .

I think a pipe is a recipe for a kink.

Good luck with getting the bars aligned.

Slick

Take any spare top yoke with mounts for 7/8 bars or buy some 7/8 risers and mount on a steel plate. Mount the bars and then fix the yoke/steel plate in the vice, insert 3/4" or smaller tube spring into bar to stop the kinking then use a tube with 1" ID to bend as required.

I have had success in the past by doing the bend correction with the bar mounted vertically, bottom plugged and filled with sand.
Cheers

Never rode dirt bikes?😎🏁

Slide a pipe over the end, have the bike held by two assistants, bend it where it belongs.

I did some old 76 GL1000 bars last month , I wanted them rechromed , so had to extract all the switch gear wiring , one side needed a tweak, I put them on the bench bit of wood on top, with a g clamp , took measurements and angles , easy to change and even up I think I added more pull back , my speckled chrome was fine 🙂 , I used a 4ft piece of rhs , slide over for leverage .
