1) Have anybody personally experienced or directly knows someone else who has had a belt "fail" because of excess heat inside a completely covered primary? I have run my belt 100% enclosed for 16 years, with the same belt, here in the desert southwest USA in temps routinely over 100 degrees with no issues, none.
2) WHY did Norton choose to put the threaded gearbox adjustor on the right side instead of the more obvious drive side? Anyone care to speculate why? I assume cost would not be a factor as cannot see how putting it on one side or the other would cost the factory more money, or would it somehow?
