Just saw the results for Barber's Motorsports this last weekend. Looks like Kevin Schwantz won Premier 500 both days on Ken McIntosh's Norton. Apparently Tim Joyce had problems on Saturday but came back on Sunday to take second behind Schwantz. What happened to our friend Homeslice? The results imply mechanical problems.

I hated not being there having planned all year to go, but starting a move into our new house; spent the weekend with the flu anyway.

I am guessing that Maria Costello was riding Kennys bike. Jim

I don't think so. He and she are shown on the grid each day. He's shown as finishing 18th on Sunday and her bike is listed as 'other.'

I have a note to Tim Joyce to find out what happened.

As for Tim, he indicated that over the weekend he had two crashes and a cracked piston. I'm thinking the Saturday in Premier was one of the crashes. As you probably know, Tim races one of Maurice Candy's Nortons.

Maria was on my bike... -dan

Dan, what is your bike to cause it being listed as 'other?'

Comstock is correct - Maria was on the Manx I usually ride in 500 premier, as her "other" bike (a Dominator) had mechanical issues.

She rode Dan's Seeley Commando in BEARS.

We are in Daytona now. I will write a full report when I finish the weekend. Safe to day it was fraught with highs and lows.

Kenny & Maria, being excellent riders, placed well,

Maria getting a 1st (first day Bears) & 2nd (second day Bears) and Kenny getting a 4th first day & 5th second day in 750 sportsman.

I assume Kenny was on his own 750 twin and Maria was on Dan's 750 twin - if so then its great to see these bikes doing so well knowing what's in the motors.
