Chip, yours is only 1 of 2 in over 40 Sparx units I've sold that ever had a problem (Triumph, Norton, BSA, even Aermacchi). Yours happened to have 2 problems.

The person who posted about having had issues with the triSpark is one of only two I have seen regarding that brand.

So, is the Pazon recommendation perfect here? I can't recall one way or the other...

Hmm- dunno.
I'm here for shit to make my marea go faster, handle better, and problem solving issues beyond my mental scope. Sometimes I have an opinion that I post. I probably shouldn't but if I'm pissed I do.
I'm not into restoring though I don't begrudge someone who is. I ride fucking motorbikes, as fast as I can, when I can. I'm also not one of those "eww it's not British fuckwits" either.
Some of my favorite bikes I've owned were Jap. Gs1000s Wes Cooley. 87GSXR1100, 2008fz1000n (nearly cost me my license).
I've also owned a couple James Captains and a Cadet but parts were a nightmare in Aus. I ended up raiding old lawn mowers at yard sales etc for bits for the Villiers engined beasts.

Oops, there's me and my opinions again.

DK, might keep in mind the tri-linked set up that has driven me stark raving mad about handling smoothness. Pisses faster bikes off they have to slow up so much for turns while you don't. We need some current video of roll on wheelies too. Costs extra to add spunk by lightening stuff like stands and cradle and primary cover and fork innards and spacers and axles and rims and seat and your cake and pie. Take care pulling the trigger.

I'm gonna kill my Boyer first but was leaning toward a hunt unit and batteryless system.
What is that in your 3rd or last pic. The black tubes. Fork legs?

Even though I'm 1500+miles into a fresh rebuilt, I just don't have the grunt to pull of roll on wheelies. Even less so with the maney which has given me a higher tooth output shaft result. I think from memory I had a 20-21 tooth but the maney ups this by about 1 tooth so now I'm at 21-22 tooth output shaft. I will in the future drop to a 19.
Benefit is cruising effortlessl at100mph but that's a game ender here in Aus. Confiscate and crush your bike-first offence.
Now the art is getting to 70mph as fast as possible.
Perhaps a 16tooth output shaft gear.

They are the Lansdowne fork inserts that should work OK with the Ikon rear shock absorbers. (combined with a fork and swingarm pivot rebuild)
My main focus as far as Nortons go is to leave the 1974 MkIIA pretty much as it is.
The 1971 Fastback I want to be trans Australia ready, have a reasonable ride and handling with reliability based on a realistic maintenance schedule.
I have another head on the way from the UK which I will send to Martyn Adams in SA for refurbishment along with Kibblewhite valves.
If the bore is worn it will get the JSMotorSport rods and pistons.
I think modifications need to be kept real even if money is no object,it is easy to get to a point where expenditure exceeds the return.

Personally 50 RWHP would be fine as long as it is reliable with a nice linear delivery, isn't that what the Norton experience is about.

AWESOME SHIT

Absolutely. I have the landsdowne dampers so I guess that they are in thei packaging.
50 rwhp is a fine result in my opinion.
I'll be fitting the lightweight stuff next build which should be in a couple years. I'm pissed I didn't this time but I was talked out of it by the expert I got to rebuild my engine as I had no shed or workshop at the time. The wife was not keen on me taking over the lounge room for a rebuild but I have since built an area to work in in our sleep out which is also my shed/ garage.
I would have no issue jumping on my bike and riding it to Perth right now, albeit after a good oil change and grease up.
Reliability and performance are essential to me, not one or the other.
When I say performance, I don't mean 300hp either. I can still lose my licence for two years with 50hp and get my bike crushed

Longterm, I don't think our transmissions are able to handle a whole lot more than 50rwhp.

And yes, a good stock Commando can still leave about 99% of traffic far behind.

I thought people that advertised their membership in ton-up clubs, only stood around drinking PBR, adding pins to their jacket, and looking at their bikes. Just another generalization I guess?

Always good. Always bike bits. The missus is getting me a set of sun alloys for my birthday. Main issue is whether to get a 19 or 18" rear. Argh

It's my understanding that front fender won't work witha TT100. Sucks to be me.....

120/90-18 rear, 100/90-19 front, is nice with Bridgestone BT45's.

I ran a similar setup for a while with Avon roadrider II's. I had a valanced rim w/ 120/90/18 rear and 90/90/19 front. I liked it and tyres were pretty sticky.
Am leaning toward the 18 rear due to the brand new classic conti road attack tyres that have recently been released. Apparently they are quite the tyre.
