Need part number (or want to buy)

Plug - Timing Cover - 5/16 - 22 BSF x 1/2 " long

This is the plug for the main oil gallery drilling.

Can't tell for sure.

Possibles-

E4570 - Grub screw, oil stop < possible

E4591 - Plug, oilway, timing cover < probable

Neither one has a plate reference number, and there is only ONE illustration for the entire engine!

Neither one appears to be illustrated, either...

Thanks Grandpaul,

I have that plate as well. The timing cover shown does not appear to be an Atlas. The one shown has the pressure relief internal, whereas the Atlas is external. Andover Norton has the same plate, so no help there.

E4591 comes up as a 1/4 x 26 grub screw when I searched part numbers on British Only website.

So, I am still looking, if anyone can help.

The plate looks to be consistent with a Dominator. I have the bolt out of a spare cover you can have.

Slick - I see you're getting the screw from Scott but..
On examination of my covers the screw appears to be 1/4" - thread unknown as I couldn't get one out but, given its timing side and into aluminium I suspect Whitworth
The photos show the screw on the right. The hole on the left (about 5mm dia) I presume is the "exhaust" for the pressure relief valve
Cheers
Rob

Hi Slick
I looked about a bit and think you refer to the BSF screw under the OPV.
I could not find a PN in several IPL but the screw is a short .464"L steel BSF bolt with a normal sealing washer.
Obviously for a low pressure rocker system like on all pre 66.

Dave, yes this is the screw I am after. It is 5/16 -22. BSF.

Many thanks to Scott (kernal65) who is putting one in the mail today No Charge and Free Post! Just for a promise for a beer should we ever meet.

Eureka! I found it!

FWIW .....

Part Number is 16902 and is listed as "Set Screw for oilway blanking.

Thanks to all who replied.
