When Norton went from wideline to slimline tank did they change the position of the fuel tap? On the tank I've been furnished to fit to a slimline frame the fuel tap fitting on the tank is almost touching the left hand frame rail. Is this normal?

The tap is very close to the frame rail on slimlines. As a result I've found that push/pull taps work best.
