Hi.
I can say i know very well the clutch and primary transmission of the Commando but not those of Atlas.
The question is if Atlas mounts the same spacers and shims of the Commando:
- between the cranckshaft chain sprocket and the rotor;
- behind the ckutch chainwheel.
Thank you.

There are no spacers between the crankshaft sprocket and the rotor. The rotor should be flush with the stator, but a little difference in position, makes insignificant difference in electrical output. If the rotor is grossly under-flush, I would add a shim to make it flush.

There is no spacer behind clutch basket. I do not know what the remedy would be if the chain was not aligned.

Hi Slick,
thank you.
Please, it means that after the "CLUTCH LOCATION CIRCLIP (MAINSHAFT" there is the "CLUTCH BACKPLATE (BONDED FRICTION PLATE)"?.
About primary chain, i wish to change, what is the best and who supply it?.

The Atlas mainshaft does not have a clutch location circlip. The clutch basket slips on the mainshaft until it stops, then toothed lockwasher and nut.

For primary chain, contact Andy Chain who posts on this Forum.
