Most excellent - working on your trains will keep you sane. I think your Norton could use some polishing as well.Well I watched a good mate I have known since I was 15 he was a younger kid that hang around us on our dirt bike days and use to double him around as well a few of his other younger mates at the old rife range, he past away suddenly 3 weeks ago and his funeral was yesterday but was to hard for me and the wife to go to it but it was podcast on Ytube and the after remembrance was at our local footy club the Roosters at Brighton I was going down there but decided to have a few beer at home for him, safer for me as it would have been fully packed out and I would have been in to much of a drunken mess as would have been so many old friends there.
Well spent the afternoon up in the shed with the Norton and my train layout, up stairs 2 of Debra's friends were up there giving the inside of the house a good clean, although I had the house pretty well sorted they did the work that I couldn't do and they are going to come every week now to do a touch up of the housework, they are all looking after us as it can be a bit hard on both Debra and me.
As for my train layout I can't do much with it at the moment as too hard with only one leg and the next big job is doing the wiring that has to be done under the layout so thinking of getting a creeper so I can lay on my back and just roll under the layout to do all the wiring, I already have all the wiring, connectors, switches, soldering iron and solder to do this job had it all ready before the accident, the track is all laid out and the cork underlay has been done all before the accident, just got to tack the track down was my next job before the wiring.
After all the wiring is done I be able to start running the trains, I need to get a high chain on casters as my wheelchair and lower stool on casters is too low to do any work on the layout, but I so need to get back into working on the layout instead of sitting around doing nothing, have a few layout models to make and some new models on the way, I need to get busy again as sitting around is doing my head in.
Going to be a busy week ahead with the meeting tomorrow with my leg builders and amputee rehab on Thursday as well a few things that Debra has on and we both need to see our local doctor for new scrips for our 5 monthly medication, I have set up my phone for Uber transport to and from my apps but some can be reimbursed by the CTP insurance as well need to get disability tags for the cars we use so we get close parking at the shopping centres, can also get Gov assistance for 1/2 price taxi travel, everything helps.
On Wednesday we have a face to face meeting with the CTP insurance OT person to discuss all our need at home and everything else that has affected our lives since the accident, the list is growing and will be asking about a car so we can both drive to get around, see if they are willing to come to the party in getting a new car that can be set up for our needs, so far they been good at coming on board as they know it wasn't our fault at all from this impact on both our lives.
