Are Wassell and Lucas rotors/stators interchangeable?

My original stator is tired after 40 years however the rotor is good...my plan is to install a new Wassell 200W stator and a Podtronics box and remove the OEM rectifier, zener diode, and capacitor....just wanted to check on the compatability of the new stator with the old rotor

I was recently reading some information on the Wassell 200w stator that claims it won't produce 16 amps until the RPMs hit about 8k. It is a direct replacement for the stock stator, but don't be shocked if it doesn't provide as much juice as advertised. Prices on them are not bad, so that doesnt mean it isn't a decent alternative. I haven't run one, so it is just hearsay.

Thanks, good to know that...I'll actually be happy if produces even a few more amps/watts than the original, that would make the system work better with my H4 lighting....my stock system has gone from barely meeting demand with the headlight on to less than that and my stator has some chips, cracks, and brittle insulation.
