Are these original mufflers? 1974 850?

My '74 (unfortunately....) has those installed and I believe them to be what it had when it was shipped from Pulmstead. They are very quiet. Too quiet. I especially notice it after taking a ride on either of my Ducs which have very unrestricted Conti and Termignoni exhausts. Or when I ride with the Norton Club guys. The lack of sound makes it seem I am down at least 10 HP on my buddies even if I have no trouble keeping with the group. The Commando only had 2500 miles on it when I acquired it about 15 years ago and I believe it was 100% stock and original.

Wow! just looked again and noticed the price. If he gets $300 for those then I better sell mine (which are way nicer than his) and get some more appropriate sounding cans!

Originals...My stock 1974 has these exact mufflers and they sound very good...Might be because they are burnt out inside...

Terry....would be interested in your set but not for $300....

= Wolverhampton.

Norton moved from Plumstead to Andover in 1969. Eventually production moved to Wolverhampton, during '72-'73.
