April Commando attack: Krazy Horse

I was aiming for 12 noon but with my new short opens and a few more rpm to play with the bike might compel me to go that bit quicker.... or it might even send me off on a glorious detour and I never quite make it to KH, we shall have to see :)

I still haven't had a good look at'em, just love the sound of'em. Reminds me of my first drunken sexual encounter, lights out, didn't really get a good look at the face, but all my other senses enjoyed the experience lol
 
I like them a lot too.

But I hadn’t quite looked at them that way...!

I love the looks too though, long ones are to long, and fat looking for my eye.

The shorties look to me like the ones the designer intended, before being battered into submission by emission requirements !

I don’t want to be a poof (or ‘fag’ for our non English speaking English speakers) but...

The weather this week, up to and including Saturday, is just shit.

Next week we are promised a heat wave!

Should we consider delaying our attack by a week...?

I have given my pipes a good clean so they now match the shine on the new bits and yes the shorties do look pretty good :)

I also turned the exhaust clamps so that the nuts/bolts are facing inwards. Not a lot of room between the pipes at bottom of the headers but this does clean up the lines a little.

I'm easy and happy to go with the majority. Local forecast for Saturday says 16degC and sunny. Forecast for Bury says 17degC partly sunny with a shower.
 
Weather is looking ok for Saturday. Infact it appears to clear up as we ride east from Ox to Bury.
 
Forecast for Bury now says 17degC with afternoon thunderstorm, 50% chance of rain from 2pm - as usual this probably means they still don't have a clue. It wouldn't be April without the showers!
 
Ok, ok, I was being a puff! Lets stick with Saturday.

Ben, being one of them there BMW types, I expect you’re equipped with technicolour Doulby surround sound MP3 turbo nutter Sat Nav thingy aren’t you?

(I don’t have to faff about going to Hideout anymore, so I can follow you straight there)

Ha!

I also turned the clamps in, that’s cos they ripped a chunk out of my door frame when I rode it into the shed (there’s a bit of a step)!

Anyway, they look much better tucked it, and there is space (just) so goodness know so why the factory don’t tuck ‘em in ?!

Doesn't matter how much you fiddle with the clamps they still won't look as good as the long pipes... (or sound!);)

Looks like I may not be able to make it on Saturday - my headlamp rim is in for chroming and no word so far.:(


I have just got to be a Friend of the National Motorcycle Museum and they have a nice little restaurant serving breakfast things early on a Saturday and Sunday so maybe as a future venue? Just off M42. Come along and look at some real Nortons.............

Weather forecast for Bury has been fairly consistent past couple of days...

16°HI; cloudy in the morning; clouds and sun in the afternoon; unhealthy air quality for sensitive groups

Surely they can't be referring to the 961's?

I might struggle putting my bike in the ‘group photo’ as it’s going straight into the workshop for a service.

Looking forward to actually meeting some real people from the ‘virtual community’ !

Hardcore bikers. They are the real deal. Wish I was able to visit. Maybe next trip across the pond. Well, no....that's actually Finland...but the time after that. LOL
