Anyone kow how an Atlas center stand spring goes?

I have been looking on the web fruitlessly for a picture of a center stand set up on an old featherbed. The spring ought to be in this week and I already have the C shaped bit but have never seen the unit together. There is a small hole in the center of the stand, is that where the front of the spring goes?

As an aside the reason I could not find an upper mount is that I don't have one. When they did the engine swap another type of spring may have been planned.
I'll make something this winter.

The Featherbed upper spring mounting was a peg that fixed fairly high up to the outside of the left hand engine plate.

It looks like I have to add making a peg to my winter list.

I have to get the carbs just right as the idle is a bit inconsistant due to worn slides. I have new slides and a set of 32 mms from a Combat that blew up early in its life, so I'm sure that will just take some time.
I'm thinking when I pull the tank to seal it I'll hang the bike from my engine hoist so I can experiment with mounting positions for the spring.

I'll put new plugs in it tonight but that's all it gets until the rainy season as the riding after work is still pretty good here in CA.
