Where i can get lightweight disc brake for MK3?

Norvil do a selection of lightweight discs.

I bought a front and a rear disc from them for my MK3 four years ago. The front disc has been faultless and works well, but I have now had two rear discs, due to my first rear disc wearing out on the disc and the centre about the bobbins. My second rear disc has just worn itself out again as per the first disc. For personal reasons (I don't want to libel the site) I have not bothered contacting him about the second failure, as I am sure that the same disappointing response to customer satisfaction would recurr. I'm just going to screw it to the garage wall as a momento, and re-fit a standard disc on the rear.

So there you have it. Excellent experience with the front disc, and a bad experience with the rear disc. They do look nice as well in my opinion.

don't waste your money on the norvil 13 inch light weight front disc either!!!! the one that I have used wore out the center carer and bobbins so I made a adapter ring and now have a 13 inch disc from a hon**** cbr 929. more of Les Emory's over hyped junk.

looks like holland norton works seat.

Great Norton,thank you fellows,sounds good idea barrow japanese disc for my cafe racer.

This is not my Commando, it's a "Perfect Commando" built by Holland Norton Works. They also supply this custom made leather seat (Corbin replica but much more comfortable and rather expensive)

Honda disc,i need disc for rear wheel.

A caliper mount and Brembo caliper from a mid-90's Ducati 900SS CR can be easily adapted to a Mk3. The Brembo disc from the same bike will fit with an aluminum disc spacer/adapter that can be turned on a decent sized lathe. I even use the remote reservoir mastercylinder from the Ducati with a small adaptor plate and use the Norton brake push rod.
