I've seen '70-'71 750 Roadsters and "S" models go for $13K.

If you had the Earl's Court '67 Silver Fastback, it might command a few nickles although
I've heard it was a non-running showboat.

I think I have the first MK3 Commando to have a Madass brake installed. In fact I'm sure of it as Madass said " we don't do MK3 and never will!" or words to that effect.

So I'm calling this MK3 a very rare limited edition and putting it's value at 100k US$.
But don't try buying it, it's not for sale!

I'll undercut Glen and sell my mkII with custom, one-off, unobtanium exhaust roses for $90k US$

I might consider your MK2 as part trade.
Only If I keep the brake.

Do youse guys think I would do better going through some 'bike dealer/sales' than trying to sell it myself. I haven't had a single nibble at $9K. Even on Craig's List although I've only put it up there once.

In the NYC/Tristate area (LARGE market) I have seen a few S models in nice shape go for 6-7k (asking price) in the past year, who knows what they actually went for.

Craigslist folk (myself included) look for DEALS, at 9k most people won't even click your ad unless they absolutely MUST have an S model Norton. It sucks lowering the price but sometimes you gotta.

not really an early one

craigslist is now charging for ads, so look to see the ad numbers go down, not sure where to go from there

If you put it on ebay you get wide coverage. You pay to do it though. Prices will likely go down and sales harder over the next ten years.
This is due to the fact that most of us are or will be handing in our driving licenses. I dont see the future as being too rosy as petrol powered
vehicles will disappear due to demands of the government. Younger sorts arent as attracted to bikes as we were.

There is “Bring a Trailer .com” mostly cars but lately more bikes have been showing up , most seem to fetch decent prices .... think it $90 to put up a listing for auction ....

As noted, very little interest in these old bikes from younger folks. Same is true re old cars. I suspect the market for both will be essentially non existent in a few years. Then again, who knows? I never thought records (now called "Vinyl") would (or should) return but at the moment they and a turntable are a cool thing to buy while the CDs that replaced them are not. Go figure....

Re that, I host an Open Mic regularly and one of our "sponsors" donated some DVD movies for our intermission prizes for the audience "name that tune" contest. But when I gave three away last night - two of the winners said they no longer had DVD players, the 3rd thought he still had one in the closet but wasn't sure. Times change ...more and more rapidly!
