Hey Guys,

Further to getting 71 750 on the road after being shipped from overseas, I need to get a new battery. My bike's got all solid state electrics with halogen headlight, high output altenartor & single coil. I've looked at a few charts and it would seem that either a Yuasa (or equivalent) YB9B or a YB14L-A2 are what's recommended. I think the YB14L-A2 would be for electric start however. Any thoughts on these? I figure the YB9B would be fine but want to make sure before I get it.

Thanks!

Bigger is better........ if you have the room. I'd get at least a YB12L.

If your charging system is up to snuff, I'd say SMALLER is better. I run a four A123-cell LiFePO battery in mine (from www.mavirykdesign.com) and it works great. And weighs about a pound!

A bigger battery will be fine. If you have a 180w or 200w stator you will want the YB14L-A2. If you have the stock stator an additional charge may be wise to keep it topped off. That is what the plug on the side is for. Other wise the YB12 will match your set up.

Thanks Guys, I've ordered the YB14. Looks lile I'll have everything ready when the bike arrives.
