Hi All
Had a second attempt to replace the camshaft oil seal in timing cover as I noticed oil was getting through into the points cover and all over the back of the Tri -Spark electronic ignition.
Assembled it all back again, but would not start!! Plugs out and check for a spark, nothing. However after kicking it over several times the Tri-Spark LED light began to continually flash. According to the troubleshoot literature. Quote.`This is an indication of an overload or short circuit in the coil drive output`.
Has one of my coils suddenly gone kaput then? Or, god forbid, is it possible for oil to have got into the Tri-Spark unit and cause problems?. Its sealed of course, but how well??
Very frustrating cos am still sorting out full throttle running issues with the carburetors since changing the cylinder head, but maybe its not the carbs after all but something of the above??? Something of a coincidence. Do coils suddenly give up?
Your thoughts please.
