I've got an amal monoblock thats out of round, the slide sticks near the top and does not move smoothly up and down. Anybody know a place I can get this thing bored out and the slide relined?

The body might be warped due to previous owner's over-enthusiastic tightening of screws. My Concentrics were like that. I just put them in a padded vice and "unwarped" them. So consider that possibility before spending a bunch of money for someone else to do the same thing.

My concentrics, which were horrible when I bought the bike, now idle smoothly at RPM far lower than I actually set the idle speed ( I set 900 RPM). But I went through them completely, truing all surfaces, new jets/needles/viton float needle, etc.

If you're going to use any amal, you really should consider a sleeve on the slide. I don't think the cost outweighs the result at all if your comparing a good running and crappy running bike. I will never use another amal w/o a sleeve, too many running issues too quickly to keep from enjoyable riding.
