Hi all fitted new premiers some time ago, and recently was chatting with another Commando owner and he said In his opinion a 19 pilot jet improves idle over the 17,what are your thoughts on this.

Depends on the bike. My 750 likes 17's, the 850 likes 19's. How far in or out are your air screws? If you are less than one full turn out you might benefit going to the larger jet. Are you having idle issues? If not, I'd leave it be.

I went with the 19 pilot jet and it’s works better for my bike MKIII 850. I think most will agree...go 19.

Then, according to Amal, 17 is correct. Quite a while ago they started using 19 for 850s and stayed with 17 is for 750s. If your idle is good then you're fine.
