Can anyone tell me if jets marked 26-26a shown here should be screwed down into the float chamber
Or up into the carb body?
As when I stripped some of my spare mk2s I found a pilot jet screwed into the float chamber on one pair of carbs with a blanking screw in the carb body
But two other mk2s had pilot screwed into the carb body and a blanking screw in the float chamber
Yet the diagram above shows a jet in the carb body and in the float chamber
I'm assuming one should be a blank
Maybe it doesn't matter which way round they are fitted ??

After searching the web it seems the pilot jet can be fitted in the carb body or the float chamber
But generally its fitted to the carb body on two strokes unless the carb is tilted forwards more than 15°

I have only ever seen / had them screwed into the float chamber baz.
I was surprised to see them screwed into the carb body
I never knew it was an option!
I'm considering fitting 30mm mk2s to my rocket 3
I've made some manifolds
I thought I'd strip the carbs to check all three are the same

I have MK2s fitted to the Atlas, & with the pilots in the float chambers it wouldn't idle properly, but once I swopped them to the carb body it was fine.

Are you running them level or tilted? What size pilots do you use?
