Unbelievable mistreatment of Nobby Clark they should be ashamed of themselves .
Fair play to past inductees for returning their inductee medals ie.Dick Mann,Dave Dispain

Too bad. I didn't know he'd been through that whole theft mess. Also don't know how or why they'd change the guidelines to disallow people who'd been in scrapes with the law, or they'd have to toss several CONVICTED felons, not to mention those who weren't conviceted for one reason or another. I can appreciate Dave Despain & Dick Man turning in thier awards in solidarity...

First, Nobby Clark plead out and there is a long and tragic history of what went down - know and understand the history there first. Second, plenty of HoF awardies with a rough history. Third, it may very well have had nothing to do with Nobby Clark and have everything to do with the ineptitude of the AMA HoF.

I agree, total ineptitude. Whatever sloppy balloting system they use they really messed this up. They pissed off some big names in the motorcycling world. King Kenny the most recent to withdraw from the hall of fame

what the heck's going on with the AMA?!? first they screwed up mid-ohio by cutting back the vintage racing and now this!?!

AMA, ruining motorcycling history since 2008

'AMA, ruining motorcycling history since 2008'

Controlling bodies have a tendency to do that. Some of their staff seem to act like public servants - do nothing much but wait for retirement.

AMA has been corrupt or inept since the early 70's and I start there because that's when I first began to take notice.
For example, forcing 500cc OHV to run against the 750cc hardleyableson flat heads . . .

Biggest screw up was failing to notice the low hanging fruit that DMG saw. AMA roadracing was a mismanaged asset and DMG saw a way to monopolize and force business to their tracks by buying AMA roadracing. The manufacturers on the AMA board failed to the threat to the sport and to the manufacturers posed by the track owners. Honda and Kawasaki took their balls and went home. Now we have a likely illegal, semi GP, Yamaha ruling superbike. But that's DMG . . .

Now from what's left of the AMA, this . . .
