Sitting in the office on a Friday morning; no one else shown up yet. Did I miss the memo? Kraftwerk's Autobahn playing through the headphones as I look out the window at the blue skies/65 degrees/no wind.

How can I work when it's like this?

How's your Friday going?

The struggle is real

Balance work/play.... The age old conundrum. Remember The Shining movie... "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy..." as Nicholson comes through the sheethouse door with a fire ax..

I have never heard of anyone else who knows of Kraftwerk's Autobahn " aautohbaahn,...... aautohbaahn," I actually have it on vinyl. What a great way to lose your self for 15 minutes or so.

Its a B B B Bit like J J J Jive Talking , excepts its Bahn Bahn Bahn , then a noise like tightened nerves like you get on a wet road on a diesel slick - but on a Auto Bahn , Bahn Bahn its the auto Bahn .
Not to be confused with autobarn & what they pass off as BATTERIES .

It's nice to know I'm not the only nut-job out there! I have the original vinyl that I transcribed over to digital. It's over 22 minutes long! "Wir fahr'n fahr'n fahr'n auf der Autobahn" (We are driving, driving, driving on the Autobahn) Deep, man...

I'm more stained with old school stacitco tripping tunes

Norton porn, Kraftwerk, & Captain Beefhart... my mother warned me about hanging out with people like this!

Ugh, meant the wooden crank for another thread, but thankgoodness I didn't waste my time getting wasted back then as lasting me decades so far.

Many Thanks, after wearing out several albums, since the late sixties, that was the first time I saw vision of Iron Butterfly doing THE SONG.
Thanks again it will, as in the past, HIGH ROTATION on my audio equipment.

In a Gadda Da Vida was the first album I ever bought. Never truly got off on Kraftwerk though. Thought Autobahn was boring, but only much later realised that that was what they might have been trying to convey.

Ah so I do like to have my stereos nicked name "Bone Conduction" for good deep clear fidelity reasons. Kelly George's flat tracker with open headers up high gave me flash backs as the sonics impacted as much as the solid mount engine on cam. Back to the lovely inviting view out the work window, when i was still 1st learning about Peel temp tolerances I'd leave her idling outside my treatment room window for half an hour at a time, as able to see the gauges from there. This relieved me completely on stuck in traffic idle as engine cools the most then and any creeping throttle that would barely move bike for supposed cooling raise the temps in a few breaths. Alas if not for nil oil pressure/flow on cam/lifter and blow by pollution and low charging I'd leave em run all day in background. Same with my old tractor that is made for it.
